We LOVED it here. So many GF options and it was so nice to have peace of mind that they take allergies serious, even marking dishes with cute little markers. Only downside was that I couldn't try most noodles because they couldn't be modified GF. We had the Dan Dan Noodles, the Ginger Soy Chinese Broccoli, the Cold Sesame Noodles, and the Salt & White Pepper Crispy Chicken (our favorite). We all said we could've ordered 3 more of just the chicken, it was great. On top of it being very tasty, it was incredibly reasonable. Will definitely be returning!

We absolutely loved Dan Dan. They had plenty of vegetarian options and everything was different and tasty. For starters we ordered the scallion pancakes, veggie gyoza, cucumbers, and spring rolls. For the mains we shared the yellow curry noodles with pressed tofu, the Dan Dan delicacy tofu pot and the king pau tofu. The noodles lacked a little flavor and was a little dry but the kung pau tofu was packed with flavor and was the tables favorite. The fried coconut milk made an interesting dessert and had a condensed milk dipping sauce. Worth trying even though it wasn't my favorite dessert. Will be back to try some different veggie dishes.

Cumin Lamb Hand Pulled Noodles Omg I loved these noodles. Not only is the cumin lamb perfectly seasoned and spiced with the perfect veggies, but the noodles are thick and hand pulled and have that wonderful bite to them, even after bearing with the delivery commute. The spice level si real--i got these regular spicy and they definitely have a kick! I am so excited to dine in person here sometime!!

Dan Dan is one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. Their Dan Dan noodles are my favorite but I prefer to get them mild so they are not too spicy. I've gone to Dan Dan since they opened. I am disappointed that they got rid of my personal favorite things- sticky rice and Taiwanese sausage as a side. I would love them to add them to the menu again.

Yum! After a 17 hour travel day I finally made it to Philadelphia and was starving and got the recommendation to Door Dash Dan Dan. 16 minutes later, super hot delicious extra spicy Dan Dan noodles, chili dumplings and green beans arrived. The flavor and spice were 10/10 - there's a wonderful red pepper sprinkled on the noodles and the dumplings - assuming that's what makes it "extra spicy." Portions are very big. I have dinner tomorrow if I don't like what the day brings me. YUM

Decided to check out Dan Dan with some friends and had a great meal here! The space is a bit small but also has upstairs seating so I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. I got the lychee martini to drink which was very strong but good! I also ordered the wontons in chili oil and the garlic sauce dish with chicken for my meal. The chili oil wontons were pretty standard but the garlic sauce chicken was amazing and so flavorful! The dish is also big enough to split for 2 people. I definitely will be coming back the next time I'm in Philly!

I cannot even begin to express how excited I was to find myself outside of this restaurant. It is a very small storefront along road construction that didn't look inviting from the outside, but once you step inside it is cozy with a cool Vibe. We were seated immediately despite no reservation on a weekend night. We quickly ordered the chili wontons and Jing Jiang Pork. I lived in China for a year and a half so my heart soared to see this dish. It is my favorite!! They more than did the dish justice and I will try to get back for a visit to Philly just to have it again! Maybe next time I will get the beef instead. The chili wontons weren't really all that fantastic. The chili oil had no heat and the wontons weren't well spiced and the meat was overworked and cooked, but they were alright. Just ok. The cocktails were great and the service was fast and fantastic!!

These noodles were SO GOOD! I cannot stress that enough, quite possibly the best I've had in my life. That has to be said up front! Our friends brought us here while we visited as their favorite and it's clear as to why, the entire experience was spot on!! Highly suggest reservations as they filled up very quick! By the time we were finished eating the area that I took a photo of was filled with people. They have a full service bar that was able to meet my needs for drinks! Few different drinks we tried all were tasty The show stopper was certainly their food however, like I said it was so good I did not want to eat it all because that means I wouldn't have any later! 100% recommend checking them out, I know they're in our return list for our next trip to Philly!!

History of Present Indulgence: I was in Philly for a few days and needed a place for lunch near my hotel. After finding Dan Dan's menu on Yelp, I decided to give it a try--and I'm glad I did! Physical Exam: Food - They serve fantastic classic Sichuan dishes, including a fish swimming in chili oil that I devoured all on my own with a side of rice. Everything I tried was delicious, though funny enough, the dan dan noodles themselves were my least favorite--not bad, just not a standout compared to the rest of the menu. When I brought friends the next day, we shared even more dishes, and all of them were hits. Some of my personal recs: - The Pork Belly in Sweet Garlic Chili Oil - Dumplings in Chili Oil - Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles - Vegetarian String Beans - Dry Pot Dish - Green Peppercorn Hot Sauce Dish Service - Friendly and attentive, which is all you can ask for in a busy spot like this. Ambiance - It's a cozy space, with most first-floor seating around the bar, high tops, and small tables for 2-4 people. Upstairs, they have larger tables, which worked perfectly for our group of six. Assessment/Plan: If you're in the Rittenhouse area and craving Chinese food, Dan Dan should absolutely be on your list. Great food and solid service. There's also a happy hour that's worth checking out, with discounted bites and drinks, including a dealer's choice cocktail everyday depending on the bartender. Definitely worth a visit! I wish I could go back to try more of the menu. There's a ton of variety.
